POTOULZ is a comprehensive set of independent Excel workbooks, each one dedicated to a function :

• Calculette,
• Raw materials,
• Recipes,
• Diagrams,
• Firing,
• Blends.
Quick tour

The "Calculette" (that could be translated by "Pocket Calculator") is at the heart of POTOULZ. It performs recipe to formula and formula to recipe conversions in the same environment.
This sheet provides you with informations about :

• the recipe in progress,
• Several formulas (Seger, weight %...),
• Analysis of the raw materials used in the recipe,
• Various indicators (Thermal expansion, Surface tension, Si/Al ratio...),
• formula and recipe chart.

The user interface is customizable. You can hide the infomations you don't need. That makes this application easier to work with.

The Calculette

The recipe to formula conversion is done easily :

• You select the raw materials of the recipe in a popup list.,
• You enter the quantity of each raw material.

The Seger formula is computed immediately.

Seger formula is not the only formula available. Weight %, molar % or extensive formulas can also be displayed.

The formula to recipe conversion is done almost easily :

• You enter the formula of the recipe you want to get in the "target formula" area,
• You select the raw materials needed for the recipe in a popup list,
• And then, using the cursors + -, you adjust the quantities of each raw material, and check the result on the formula graph that change in real time.

When all the bars are filled with blue color (no red nor yellow colors), this means the recipe is done.

This method has the advantage of being very didactic.
